Therapeutic Movement for Sciatica & Back Pain

The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in the human body, and is the neural connection between the spinal cord and the legs & feet. Irritation of this nerve through impingement or compression can result in shooting pain or numbness in legs and/or feet, as well as low back pain. In this workshop, we will examine the path of the sciatic nerve from the spinal cord through the pelvis to the legs and feet, learn how it connects the upper and lower body, and consider some of the ways this connection can be impeded. With easy movements to improve these relationships, you will enhance your mind-body connection and experience how improved function results in less pain and more mobility & stability.
